“The Best at AGROS” contest traditionally honors the most popular and adapted solutions for the Russian agricultural market.
According to the results of the contest, 3 developments of scientists from the Timiryazev Academy were among the best. In the nomination "Best Scientific Development AGROS-2024", according to the jury, the project on evaluation of the biosafety system of the pig breeding and genetic center, whose authors included the Rector, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Vladimir Trukhachev, Professor of the Department of Private Zootechnics Ivan Svinarev and Professor of the Department of Veterinary Medicine Natalia Kulmakova, deserved the highest evaluation. The innovativeness of the development lies in the scientific substantiation of the bio-safety assessment system to improve the efficiency of the pig breeding industry.
In the nomination "The best fodder solution of AGROS-2024" the grand prize was awarded to coriander cake developed by scientists of the University and produced by Alushta essential oilseed farm. It is used for feeding farm birds, rabbits and ruminants.
In the new nomination "Best Veterinary Solution of AGROS-2024" the grand prize was awarded to the method of diagnostics of postpartum dysgalactia syndrome in pigs developed by Evgenia Latynina, Associate Professor of the Department of Veterinary Medicine, and Professor Georgy Dulger. The new method is based on the use of remote infrared thermography of the mammary gland of pigs and suckling piglets.
